Job summary

Axereal is seeking an EHS Manager for the UK and Ireland to lead safety, health, and environmental strategies across multiple production sites. You will ensure compliance with UK/Irish regulations and corporate standards while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include regulatory management, awareness initiatives, training programs, audits, and emergency planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
• IOSH CMIOSH or working towards it.
• Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Additional certifications (IEMA, Fire Safety, First Aid, COSHH) are advantageous.
• 7–10 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proven track record in multi-site EHS management.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in UK and Ireland.
• Familiarity with environmental permitting and energy management systems.
• Strategic thinking with ability to translate global EHS goals into local action plans.
• Leadership, coaching, and influencing skills.
• Analytical and reporting capabilities (KPI tracking, root cause analysis).
• Proficiency in EHS management systems (Enablon, EcoOnline).
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
• Ability to lead audits and manage external certification processes.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance & Certification Management across UK & Ireland, including audits.
• EHS Awareness & Engagement through regional safety committees and leadership collaboration.
• Training & Competency Development with induction and refresher programs for high-risk environments.
• Audit & Performance Monitoring via internal and external audits; KPI tracking.
• Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management with site-specific plans and drills.
