At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.

A Day In The Life Of A Senior EHS Manager

As part of the extended leadership team you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming our organisational culture embedding a positive, proactive safety mindset and ensuring compliance and always keeping the business audit ready.

We are looking for a strong leader to drive sustainable improvements, driving a positive safety culture through visible leadership, coaching, clear communication and strong collaboration with business leaders and SMEs. Experience of working in a highly regulated complex environment, the ability to utilise your expertise to translate technical and data-driven insights into pragmatic, meaningful outcomes and the agility to select and apply the right tools are key attributes.

No two days will be the same, and you will have the opportunity to work across the whole business to p rovide strategic direction, expert advice focusing on risk reduction and support the development and maintenance of our systems and culture.

Key Responsibilities:


•Ensure analysis of data is used to drive improvement in the EHS management system.
•Develop EHS management systems to support enhanced EHS performance.
•Provide oversight to implementation of EHS management systems and drive risk reduction programmes including Occupational Health, Emergency Response, Industrial Hygiene and Chemical Management.
•Assist and guide internal customers with regards to EHS issues, including any projects, new materials and complaints.
•Support complex incident investigations to ensure identification of root cause and development of suitable corrective actions.
•Lead audit readiness and undertake regular inspections and an annual review to support compliance assurance.
•Create and deliver EHS training courses to enhance competence and empowerment of the employees.
•Chair site EHS Committee and ensure effective communication withing the EHS network on and above site.
•Ensure compliance to the Teva and regulatory requirements including the evolving ESG agenda.

Who We Are Looking For?
Do You Have?

• Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline.

• Experience of management systems such as ISO 54001; ISO 14001; OHSAS18001.

• Previous experience in highly regulated environments (preferably pharmaceutical / GMP).

•Level 6 EHS Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).

Good to have: Member of Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (ideally CMIOSH) and member of Institute of Environmental management and Assessment.

• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Confident to work in a team based environment, engaging, motivating and working with people.
