Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an EHS Manager to lead the independent EHS assurance for the EGL-1 HVDC project, providing strategic leadership across the full lifecycle to identify, assess and control risks before activities commence. Qualifications

• Lead all project EHS assurance activities and governance.
• Mobilisation readiness and site readiness reviews.
• Design safety management, CDM compliance and hazard elimination.
• Constructability and risk management across design and construction.
• Safety commissioning and energisation readiness and handover readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in deploying the GE GSI EHS policy and ensure site compliance.
• Monitor and revise site EHS rules and CPP-EHS Plan with Project Director input.
• Manage programs for environmental protection, including permits for emissions and waste.
• Ensure full implementation of GE standards, directives, roadmaps and guidelines at site.
• Monitor EHS contractual requirements with subcontractors and ensure fulfilment.
• Manage risk assessment and method statement processes.
• Record, report, investigate and analyse EHS events to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee site EHS inspections documentation and quality.
• Advise management on legal exposure and EHS concerns of site decisions.
• Define and implement EHS subcontractor audit program.
• Develop and maintain EHS project governance and execution plans.
