Job summary

GE Vernova in the United Kingdom seeks a Lead Control System Verification & Validation Engineer for HVDC controls and protection. You will lead verification activities, design FST cases, review FATs with clients, and develop PSCAD/RSCAD models, coordinating with project teams across locations.

Role requires an engineering degree in power systems, extensive HVDC experience, and strong leadership with excellent English communication. Willingness to travel globally is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with power systems and power electronics subjects or proven HVDC knowledge.
• Significant HVDC verification/validation experience and leadership.
• Strong knowledge of 400kV substations and HVDC systems (LCC/VSC/SVC).
• Excellent English communication; willing to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVDC verification & validation activities to meet project schedules.
• Prepare and maintain activity plans for the Validation & Verification team.
• Design, develop and review Factory System Test (FST) cases and FAT with clients.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of validation engineers and coordinate with projects.
