Job summary

Capita, through Selborne, seeks an experienced Senior Defence Trainer to coach and mentor trainers across careers, promoting innovative teaching and improving training quality for the Royal Navy education system. You will deliver teacher training, observations and CPD for Defence Trainers, supporting educational projects and future needs.

A Level 4 Training certificate plus adult learning experience are essential, with a passion for developing people and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent).
• Experience of training delivery in adult learning sectors is beneficial.
• Passion for delivering training and developing people.
• Experience with digital learning methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Good IT skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a teacher training and assessment programme incorporating the QCF Level 3 Award in Education and Training and Care of Trainees (safeguarding and prevent).
• Conducting Teaching observations in support of Ofsted requirements and Teacher development.
• Delivering an education and training Continuing Professional Development programme to Defence Trainers (military and civilian).
• Supporting the delivery of a Coaching and Mentoring service including coaching and mentoring staff and trainee development.
• Providing support and expertise for educational projects to meet future training needs.
