Job summary

Quantum Motion in London is seeking a Principal EDA Engineer to lead and maintain the EDA environment for CMOS ASIC development at deep-cryogenic temperatures, contributing to scalable quantum silicon processors.

You will collaborate with design and layout engineers through tape-out, interface with foundries, and drive automation and tool workflows using Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre and Keysight ADS, with Python/Bash/Perl scripting.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering CMOS ASICs in advanced PDKs.
• Interfacing foundry/aggregators with fabrication deliveries and sign-off criteria.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Siemens Calibre and Keysight ADS.
• Scripting ability in Python, Bash and Perl.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain all EDA environments within the company.
• Manage the EDA team resources across multiple projects and teams.
• Work alongside design and layout engineers in the tape-out flow ensuring quality of the submitted GDS.
• Manage the interface with the foundry for ASIC fabrication flows.
• Support the design teams providing technical expertise on tools usage and workflows.
• Develop scripts to automate and improve design processes.
• Debug EDA issues including raising support tickets with tool vendors.
