Quantum Motion in London is seeking a Principal EDA Engineer to lead and maintain the EDA environment for CMOS ASIC development at deep-cryogenic temperatures, contributing to scalable quantum silicon processors.
You will collaborate with design and layout engineers through tape-out, interface with foundries, and drive automation and tool workflows using Cadence Virtuoso, Calibre and Keysight ADS, with Python/Bash/Perl scripting.
The IC Team is responsible for the design and test of the integrated circuits which operate at deep-cryogenic temperatures and interact with the qubits. This role is a unique chance to work at the bleeding edge of technology development, developing new innovative circuits to tackle the engineering challenge of implementing a large scale quantum computer in silicon. You will be a key part of a multidisciplinary team, and will be involved in all the aspects of IC design cycle from initial concept to volume production.
As a Principal EDA Engineer you will be supporting design teams primarily working with a design flow. It’s an analogue flow using commercial PDK’s but with internally developed add-ons to customize processes. You’ll work alongside other EDA support engineers, as the team grow and expand their remit.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be an early employee at a start-up shaping the future of quantum computing. There are vast opportunities for professional growth and to make an impact within the company.
