Job summary

Quantum Motion, a fast-growing quantum computing scale-up based in London, seeks a Senior Electrical Characterisation Engineer to join the Process Integration team. You will drive electrical characterisation of silicon devices and work closely with foundries and engineers to improve yield and device performance.

You will apply Python-based automation, handle large datasets, and help shape next-generation measurement capabilities as the company scales, contributing to scalable quantum processors

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Physics, Materials Science or related.
• 3+ years' experience in semiconductor device testing, reliability engineering, or yield analysis.
• Strong understanding of silicon CMOS fabrication, device physics, and foundry workflows.
• Hands-on experience with parameter analysers, SMUs, and wafer probes.
• Strong Python skills for automation and test execution.
• Analytical approach with large datasets; excellent cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Drive electrical characterisation of fabricated silicon devices and high-throughput screening.
• Turn electrical data into manufacturing insight linking to photolithography, etching, oxide growth, CMP and doping.
• Develop automated measurement and test infrastructure with Python-based workflows.
• Analyse large-scale electrical data using SPC, yield analysis and drift monitoring.
• Collaborate with foundries and process engineers to improve device performance and yield.
• Build scalable characterisation processes, SOPs and data pipelines for cross-team data flow.
• Help shape next-generation measurement capabilities as Quantum Motion scales.
