Job summary

CleanTech Talent’s key client in England & Wales is seeking a senior ecology leader to join at Technical Director or Associate Director level. You will inherit an established ecology function, lead delivery on onshore wind and grid projects, and drive innovation to expand commercial impact.

You’ll mentor and coach the team, shape strategy, and build client relationships while maintaining a strong focus on quality and environmental outcomes. Flexible leadership structure offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive ecology experience with a client-facing and commercial focus.
• Strong background in ecological assessment and reporting (EIA, HRA).
• Proven track record delivering or leading large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction for the England & Wales ecology team.
• Drive delivery of large-scale projects from feasibility through construction.
• Develop technical specialisms and coach team members.
• Expand the consultancy’s commercial reach by attracting new workstreams.
• Enhance the business profile through thought leadership and innovation.
• Manage budgets and contribute to the senior leadership team.
