Job summary

Tyler Grange is seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead ecological projects, provide expert advice and help grow our ecological offering across the Midlands and beyond. You will work closely with our Landscape and Arboricultural teams in a supportive, people-focused consultancy.

Qualifications

• A degree (or higher) in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biological Sciences or a related discipline.
• Membership of CIEEM, ideally working towards Chartership
• Strong understanding of UK ecological legislation, planning policy and best practice guidance
• Experience undertaking UK Habitat Classification surveys and a range of protected species surveys
• Experience liaising with clients, local planning authorities and statutory consultees
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong report writing, reviewing and quality assurance skills
• Excellent project management skills and experience delivering projects on time and within budget
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
• A proven ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business development activities
• An approach that aligns with our values and collaborative ways of working
• A full UK driving licence
