Job summary

isepglobal, a respected environmental consultancy based in Tetbury, is seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead a diverse range of ecological projects across the South West and beyond.

You will oversee protected species surveys, produce EcIA and Biodiversity Net Gain strategies, mentor junior ecologists, and help nurture client relationships while driving business development in a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

Qualifications

• Strong field survey experience and botanical knowledge.
• Expertise in UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.
• Experience producing EcIA and BNG assessments.
• Protected species licences (desirable).
• Membership of CIEEM (or working towards).
• Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse portfolio of ecological projects from tender to completion.
• Undertake and oversee protected species surveys and habitat assessments.
• Deliver high-quality technical reports, EcIA, and Biodiversity Net Gain strategies.
• Provide expert ecological advice to clients, planners, and design teams.
• Mentor junior ecologists and contribute to team development.

The Senior Ecologist will;

• Lead a diverse portfolio of ecological projects from tender to completion
