About RPS

RPS, a TetraTech company, is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our UK Environment Division. We deliver ecological appraisals, surveys, mitigation design, and monitoring for renewable energy projects. RPS is a global multidisciplinary consultancy focusing on the built and natural environment.

Your Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will:

• Plan and conduct habitat and protected species surveys, supervising field staff and efforts.
• Prepare technical reports, EcIA, ES chapters, and contribute to HRA reports, designing mitigation measures.
• Manage project finances with support from senior management.
• Collaborate with management and clients to generate new work streams and lead tenders.
• Travel within the UK; a full driving license is required.

Candidate Requirements

• Full membership of CIEEM and a relevant degree.
• Experience in ECoW, EPS licensing, and UK/EU wildlife legislation.
• Possession of EPS licenses (Class 1 or 2 preferred).
• Strong time management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
