Job summary

University Hospitals Tees is recruiting an enthusiastic echocardiographer to work across the James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage sites within a leading cardiac centre. You will perform and report echocardiograms for inpatients and outpatients, contributing to high-quality patient care across Trust sites.

The role offers opportunities for extended duties in contrast and stress echocardiography, TOE, 3D imaging, and specialized valve clinics, with involvement in research and audit

Qualifications

• Trained in echocardiography with up-to-date BSE accreditation in adult TTE.
• Expected to complete internal departmental competencies.
• Experience with 3D echocardiography and TOE is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients to a high standard at all trust sites.
• Provide clear, accurate reports on echocardiograms.
• Supervise and train medical and technical staff in echocardiography.
• Collaborate with imaging cardiologists and the Operational lead to develop high-quality echo services.
• Support extended roles in contrast and stress echocardiography, TOE, 3D and related clinics.
