Job summary

FCMS is expanding our Diagnostics team at Newfield House in Blackpool, Lancashire. We seek an Echocardiographer to perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms and report findings in a community setting, with flexible hours and a bank contract.

The role requires BSE accreditation and independent practice, with duties including clinical reporting, prioritising workload, and MDT participation to support colleagues and patients.

Qualifications

• Essential: BSE TTE Adult Accreditation or equivalent European Accreditation.
• Independently perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Fully independent practitioner reporting echocardiograms to BSE standards.

• Organise daily workload based on clinical urgency and MDT requirements.
• Respond to emergencies and provide specialist knowledge to clinical staff.

FCMS is looking to expand our Clinical Team in Diagnostics!

• Contract – Bank
• Location – Newfield House, Vicarage Lane, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY4 4EW
• Salary – £26.88 to £32.91 an hour Depending on Experience

The post holder’s main duties include independently performing and reporting adult transthoracic Echocardiograms. Additionally, clinical reporting, organising and prioritising daily workload based on clinical urgency. Furthermore, the post holder will respond promptly to emergencies and participate in MDT meetings providing specialist knowledge to other Physiologists and medical staff.

The post holder will be a fully independent practitioner performing and reporting a full range of Echocardiograms in a community setting to BSE standards. It is therefore essential for the post holder to be BSE accredited.

Our services run 7 days per week, therefore, we can offer hours that work around other commitments. We are open to discussing flexible working and offering this contract on either a full or part-time basis.
