Job summary

Morson Talent is seeking a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer for significant nuclear projects in Cumbria. The role offers hybrid and flexible working with a permanent contract and a competitive benefits package.

You will lead EC&I engineering across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring safety, technical integrity, and delivery excellence. Engage with clients and suppliers, applying codes and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status advantageous.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery of EC&I engineering and technical activities across complex nuclear projects.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to drive quality, innovation, and operational efficiency.
• Engage with clients and the supply chain, ensuring design clarity and compliance with procurement specifications.
• Apply appropriate procedures, codes, and standards to all engineering work.
• Support safety assessments and contribute to process improvements within the design lifecycle.
• Provide engineering input and decision-making support to the Project Manager.
• Review, produce, and verify technical deliverables such as calculations, reports, and specifications.
