iO Associates is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to lead the design, integration and maintenance of high-integrity EC&I systems within regulated environments, including nuclear and decommissioning contexts.

Based in the UK with hybrid onsite work (3 days per week onsite), the role offers significant technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to safety-critical projects across energy and defence sectors.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing and delivering EC&I systems in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge and application of nuclear safety standards, including IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, regulators and suppliers.
  • Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation and contributing to safety cases.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartered status is preferred.

Salary: £51,500-£63,500 per annum DOE + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering organisation delivering critical projects across nuclear, clean energy, defence and civil decommissioning.

As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will:

We're looking for someone with:
