Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is offering a fixed-term Senior Early Years SEND Inclusion Advisor role based at County Hall, Glenfield. You will lead the delivery of the Early Years SEND Code of Practice across childcare, coordinating SEND staff to ensure high-quality inclusive support for children and families.

The post requires travel across the county and collaboration with health and social care partners.

Qualifications

• Level 6 qualification in Early Years with evidence of SEND development.
• Evidence of further appropriate SEND professional development.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the EYFS.
• Able to travel across the county to attend appointments and venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Early Years SEND Code of Practice across childcare settings.
• Coordinate Early Years SEND staff to ensure high-quality inclusive support for children and families.
• Provide specialist advice and targeted support to early years providers and schools.
• Promote safeguarding and Family Help initiatives and ensure practice aligns with statutory guidance.
• Collaborate with health and social care partners to improve SEND provision.
