Job summary

Leicestershire County Council in Leicestershire is seeking a Senior Early Years SEND Inclusion Advisor to lead the delivery of the EY SEND Code of Practice across childcare settings. You will manage and coordinate EY SEND staff, providing specialist advice to providers and schools to promote early identification, inclusion and high-quality support for children with SEND and their families.

You will work in partnership with health, social care and education colleagues, travel across the county,

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 6 qualification in Early Years with SEND professional development.
• Outstanding EY practice with SEND and partnership working with families and multi-agency professionals.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and EYFS, enabling inclusive strategies for children with SEND (including SEMH).
• Excellent organisational skills to coordinate multiple projects with flexibility to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Early Years SEND Code of Practice across the childcare sector.
• Coordinate Early Years SEND staff to ensure high-quality inclusive support.
• Provide specialist advice to providers and schools, promoting early identification and inclusion.
• Work with parents, providers, schools and partner agencies to ensure effective SEND provision and service improvement.
