Job summary

Falkirk Council Education Services seeks a Senior Early Years Officer for Bantaskin Primary School's ELC class. The role is term-time, part-time (14.8 hours, Thursday and Friday), and permanent. You will support management and delivery of early learning services, with experience in birth to 5 years and SSSC registration requirements.

PVG scheme membership is required. Initially based at Bantaskin PS, you may be asked to work in other Falkirk Council settings.

Qualifications

Senior Early Years Officer (Bantaskin Primary School, ELC Class)

A vacancy has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior Early Years Officer at Bantaskin Primary School Early Learning and Childcare Class.

The nursery class operates Monday to Friday from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. during term time.

The successful candidate will assist in the management and provision of early learning and childcare service within the school. You should have sound knowledge of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures with extensive experience of working with children from birth to 5 years.

You will hold an HNC in Childcare and Education, an SNNB Certificate or equivalent qualification. You should hold a qualification to allow registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Experience or knowledge of outdoor learning/forest nursery approach would be advantageous.

This is a term-time post, part time (14.8 hours working Thursday and Friday) and is permanent with Falkirk Council Education Services. Please note salary will be adjusted for part time and term time working. Although initially based at Bantaskin PS you may be asked to work in any Falkirk Council setting.
