Confidential in Newbury (Hybrid 3 days in office) is recruiting a Senior E-Commerce & Marketing Executive for a 12‑month maternity cover. You will own digital commerce and consumer marketing across a portfolio of brands, delivering campaigns and driving online performance.

The role is hands‑on, requires Shopify and Klaviyo expertise, SEO knowledge, and a track record in FMCG. You will coordinate agencies, manage content, and collaborate across teams to grow sales and brand impact.

• Experience in food and drink FMCG sector.
• Proficiency with Shopify and Klaviyo for ecommerce and email marketing.
• Strong understanding of e-commerce, SEO and digital marketing.
• Experience briefing and managing creative/content development.

• Strong copywriting for email campaigns and digital content.
• Experience using AI tools to improve marketing workflows.
• Experience with retailer digital media platforms (e.g., Citrus) is advantageous.

Senior E-Commerce & Marketing Executive - 12-Month Maternity Cover Newbury (Hybrid 3 days in office) - £36-42 K pro rata

We are working with an exciting and growing consumer food and drink business to recruit a Senior E-Commerce & Marketing Executive on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established yet entrepreneurial FMCG business, taking responsibility for delivering its digital commerce and consumer marketing activity across a portfolio of brands.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on e-commerce and digital marketing professional with strong Shopify and Klaviyo experience, ideally gained within the food and drink sector.

The Role

You will play a key role in managing and developing the company's e-commerce platforms, delivering digital marketing campaigns and driving online brand performance.

Working alongside internal teams, creative agencies and external partners, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering agreed digital commerce and consumer marketing plans across a portfolio of consumer brands.
• Managing and developing Shopify websites, including website content, merchandising, optimisation and ongoing development.
• Planning, creating and delivering email marketing campaigns and newsletters using Klaviyo.
• Managing SEO activity in collaboration with an external agency.
• Coordinating Amazon content, optimisation and advertising through agency partners.
• Managing retailer and wholesaler digital media activity across relevant platforms.
• Planning and executing consumer marketing campaigns, brand collaborations and promotional activity.
• Briefing and managing creative agencies and designers on artwork and content development.
• Managing paid social campaigns and coordinating organic social media activity.Liaising with the e-commerce fulfilment partner and monitoring stock levels to support effective online operations.
• Identifying opportunities to use AI tools to improve marketing workflows, content development and productivity.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on digital marketing professional who enjoys working across the full e-commerce and marketing mix.

You will ideally have:

• Strong practical experience managing Shopify websites and Klaviyo email marketing both essential.
• Experience within the food and drink / FMCG sector- essential.
• Good understanding of e-commerce, SEO and wider digital marketing.
• Experience managing Amazon content, optimisation and/or advertising.
• Experience briefing and managing creative and artwork development.
• Confidence managing external agencies, suppliers and commercial partners.
• Good copywriting skills, particularly for email campaigns and digital content.
• Practical experience using AI tools to enhance marketing, e-commerce and content workflows.
• Experience with Citrus or other retailer digital media platforms would be advantageous.
