Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer in Wimbledon to lead drainage designs for development and infrastructure projects. You will own projects from design to delivery, producing reports, calculations, and drainage designs while coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers and advancing innovative, sustainable drainage solutions within a supportive team. Salary is £40,000–£45,000 p.a.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in drainage, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of drainage design and surface water management standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of drainage strategies and designs across development and infrastructure projects.
• Take ownership of projects from design through delivery.
• Produce and review technical reports, calculations, specifications and drainage designs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, planning consultants and other design disciplines.
• Mentor and review work by junior engineers to ensure quality and standards.
• Represent the business in client meetings and build long-term relationships.
• Support development of innovative and sustainable drainage solutions.
