Job summary

TipTopJob in London is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to join a growing consultancy. You will work on flood risk and drainage across development and infrastructure projects from feasibility to detailed design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Water Engineering or a related subject.
• Strong experience in flood risk and drainage consultancy.
• Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Good understanding of UK flood risk, drainage and SuDS requirements.
• Experience with hydraulic modelling and drainage design software.
• Confident communicating with clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
• Perform surface water and flood risk modelling.
• Carry out hydraulic modelling using MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller or TUFLOW.
• Design surface water drainage and SuDS schemes.
• Support planning applications and liaise with LLFAs, Environment Agency and stakeholders.
• Produce technical reports and drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines.
• Support junior team members and develop their skills.

Senior Drainage Engineer : London

GBP40,000 : GBP50,000

Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking for a new opportunity in London?

We are working with a well:established and growing consultancy that is looking to strengthen its flood risk and drainage team with the appointment of a Senior Engineer.

This is a varied role where you will work across a range of development and infrastructure projects, providing flood risk and drainage advice from early feasibility through to detailed design.

The Role Will Involve

• Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Surface water and flood risk modelling
• Hydraulic modelling using software such as MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller or TUFLOW
• Designing surface water drainage and SuDS schemes
• Supporting planning applications and liaising with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and other stakeholders
• Producing technical reports and drawings
• Working closely with engineers and other disciplines across the wider business
• Supporting junior members of the team and helping to develop their technical skills

About You

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subject
• Strong experience within flood risk and drainage consultancy
• Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Good understanding of UK flood risk, drainage and SuDS requirements
• Experience with relevant hydraulic modelling and drainage design software
• Confident communicating with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
• Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
