Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead the drainage design of wastewater and stormwater projects across the UK. You will guide concept through detailed design, set technical directions, and ensure delivery to programme and budget while promoting digital solutions and BIM integration.

You will mentor engineers and apprentices, manage client relationships, contribute to bids, and uphold quality and safety policies.

Qualifications

Professional qualification with ICE, CIWEM or equivalent.
Ability to design drainage from conceptual layout to detailed design.
Familiarity with hydraulic design software, 3D design tools and BIM.
Ability to prepare reports and specifications for progress and technical reports.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary packages and managing budgets and programmes.

Responsibilities

Lead drainage design from concept to detailed design and construction on standalone or multi-disciplinary schemes.
Promote digital solutions and BIM integration across drainage designs.
Review and assure drainage models, calculations and drawings to standards.
Assign tasks, manage delivery to programme and budget.
Mentor apprentices, graduates and other engineers.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental policies.
Develop stakeholder relationships for design and consent processes.
Contribute technical input to bids including fee proposals and delivery programme.
