Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Drainage Design Specialist to join our nationwide teams. You will lead drainage schemes from concept to detailed design and construction, focusing on highway drainage, SuDS, and private development projects, while promoting digital solutions and BIM integration.

You will mentor graduates, manage interfaces with the Global Design Centre, ensure quality and compliance, and contribute to bids and fee proposals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of drainage design for highways, SuDS and development schemes.
• Strong technical skills with experience in leading drainage projects.
• Experience in business development, client management and bid participation.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage designs from concept to detailed design and construction.
• Promote and integrate digital solutions, with BIM at the core.
• Review and assure drainage designs, models, calculations and drawings.
• Manage task allocation, programme delivery and budgets.
• Mentor graduates and technicians; develop drainage capability.
• Support bids with technical input and risk assessment.
