Job summary

Lemon Drizzle Recruitment has partnered with a forward-thinking roofing contractor in the North of England to recruit a Draftsperson / Project Designer based in Durham. The role sits within an in-house design team alongside the Design Director, Design Manager, and Project Designers, liaising with Buying, Commercial, and Contracts teams.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years' experience in roofing and cladding who can collaborate effectively and work independently to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

5+ years experience in roofing and cladding.
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D for detailed drawings.
Exposure to 3D modelling (AutoCAD 3D, Revit or Rhino) is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Produce 2D GA and detailed construction drawings.
Prepare material schedules and fabrication drawings.
Attend design team meetings and minutes.
Attend internal handover and design reviews.
Occasionally visit sites to gather information.
Plan workload to meet project deadlines.
Follow company procedures and quality standards.
