Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Radiotherapy Physics Dosimetrist to join the dosimetry team within the radiotherapy and proton therapy physics services. The role requires state registration and proficiency in treatment planning, with hybrid working and strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will produce photon and proton treatment plans for complex cases and participate in multidisciplinary discussions to optimise patient care.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Radiography or equivalent knowledge and registration
• State registration as Therapeutic Radiographer or equivalent
• Specialist knowledge of treatment planning and patient positioning
• Broad understanding of patient and staff risks in radiotherapy planning
• Progress towards higher degree in radiotherapy or related field

Responsibilities

• Produce photon and proton treatment plans for the UCLH casemix
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to optimise patient options
• Support Senior Dosimetrist to deliver timely planning pathways
• Develop and document new techniques and training competencies
