Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd seeks an Engineering Trainer to turn engineering experience into effective training for engineers across the door industry. The role focuses on passing on knowledge, developing skills, and ensuring engineers have the technical capability to succeed in the field.

You will lead practical and classroom-based training, plan sessions across the UK, and provide ongoing technical guidance while coaching engineers through fault finding, installation, servicing and repair

Qualifications

• Highly experienced Senior Door Engineer ready to move away from hands-on work.
• Natural go-to person for technical advice within a team.
• Experience delivering training in field, workshop or classroom.

Responsibilities

• Delivering practical and classroom-based training to engineers at different levels.
• Training engineers across automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, barriers and associated equipment.
• Assessing engineers' existing technical knowledge and identifying areas for development.
• Creating and completing individual training and development plans.
• Building structured training programmes based on experience and development needs.
• Planning and scheduling training sessions across the UK.
• Providing ongoing technical advice and support to engineers.
• Coaching engineers through fault finding, installation, servicing, maintenance and repair techniques.
• Helping engineers understand manufacturers' products, standards and safe working practices.
• Working closely with Hiring Managers and Service Managers to understand training requirements of new and existing engineers.
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback on engineers' development.
• Identifying where additional training, coaching or technical support is required.
• Keeping training records and ensuring development plans remain up to date.
