Job summary

Professional Technical Ltd is seeking an Engineering Trainer with extensive hands-on experience in the door industry to train, develop and mentor engineers across the business. You will pass on technical knowledge to engineers, ensuring they have the capability and confidence to succeed in the field.

In this role you will deliver practical and classroom-based training, assess engineers, create tailored development plans and plan UK-wide training sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience across automatic doors, industrial doors, gates and barriers.
• Experience delivering practical and classroom training to engineers at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom training to engineers at different levels.
• Train across automatic doors, industrial doors, gates, barriers and related equipment.
• Assess engineers' existing technical knowledge and identify areas for development.
• Create and complete individual training and development plans.
• Build structured training programmes based around each engineer's experience, skill level and development requirements.
• Plan and schedule training sessions across the UK.
• Provide ongoing technical advice, guidance and support to engineers.
• Coach engineers through fault finding, installation, servicing, maintenance and repair techniques.
• Help engineers develop their understanding of manufacturers' products, systems, legislation and safe working practices.
• Working closely with Hiring Managers and Service Managers to understand training requirements.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback on engineers' development.
• Identify where additional training, coaching or technical support is required.
• Keep training records and ensure development plans remain up to date.
• Support the wider engineering function by sharing knowledge and experience.
