Richmond Villages is seeking a Senior Domiciliary Care Assistant at Richmond Bede Village to provide compassionate, person-centred care in a retirement setting.

You will support residents and their families, ensuring safety, dignity and choice, with a thorough induction and access to ongoing training including apprenticeships.

The role is permanent with varied shift patterns and paid breaks, offering a supportive team and opportunities to develop within the organisation.

Qualifications

• You have experience of working in a care or dementia setting or you may have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• You’ll be passionate about caring for others, respecting people’s choices and safeguarding confidentiality.

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By

• Team Player: Collaboration with the Head of Domiciliary Care and other team members is crucial.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly
• Communication Skills: Effective and polite communication with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals.
• Confidentiality: Handling sensitive information with discretion
• CQC Regulations: Knowledge of Care Quality Commission standards is required.
• IT Literacy: Comfort with using technology and software.
• Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

You have experience of working in a care or dementia setting or you may have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), but above all, you’ll be passionate about caring for others, respecting people’s choices and always putting their safety and welfare first. A great listener with a positive outlook, you’re confident talking to both residents and their families and understand that confidentiality is very important in what we do. Always ready to lead by example and support the wider team, you’ll deliver care with dignity and compassion and work to put a smile on our residents’ faces every day.
