Job summary

Bupa, at Richmond Witney Village, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead a care unit, manage clinical duties, and ensure high standards of resident care. You will oversee medication administration, care plan reviews, and accurate record keeping while supervising a team of care assistants.

The role supports ongoing training and development within a dedicated team. You will contribute to person-centred care, support residents and families, and collaborate with GPs and district nurses.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in care or working towards it is required/advantageous.
• DBS check will be completed as part of recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit and overseeing clinical duties.
• Issuing medication, reviewing care plans and maintaining accurate records.
• Leading and managing a team of Care Assistants and coordinating shift handovers.
• Training and supervising new staff to ensure welcoming and supportive onboarding.
• Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses.
• Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.

Salary: £14.70 per hour & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent fulltime/Part time

Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm - Weekends on Rota

Welcome Bonus: £500

You're pivotal in running a unit, responsible for all clinical duties in the home, including observation, medication, reviewing care plans and accurate record keeping. You'll have completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care. We're more than happy to support you in the completion of your qualification if needed.

You'll help us make health happen by:

Because we care for vulnerable people, we'll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
