Job summary

Data Communications Company seeks a Senior Domain Architect (SMETS1) to own the technology strategy and roadmap for a mature smart metering service. You will shape long-term sustainability, balancing risk, cost and business value while guiding suppliers and senior stakeholders.

Join Smart DCC in a hybrid role based in London, contributing to a low-carbon energy network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence complex architectural decisions across enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong enterprise or domain architecture experience in complex, large-scale technology environments.
• End-to-end systems thinking across cloud, infrastructure, applications and integrations.
• Experience managing lifecycle challenges: legacy platforms, debt, obsolescence and migration.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the SMETS1 technology strategy, architecture and roadmap.
• Lead architecture assurance across applications, infrastructure and cloud services.
• Manage architectural risk and drive mitigation strategies.
• Review and influence supplier architectures and roadmaps.
• Act as trusted technical authority translating complex decisions into business value.
