Smart DCC Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead complex supplier relationships across the Britain's smart energy network. The role combines governance, negotiations, and contract change management to deliver value for money and robust compliance.

You will manage multiple high-value contracts, forecast financials, and work with cross-functional teams in a hybrid London or Manchester setting, contributing to a greener energy future.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex, high-value supplier contracts and commercial relationships.
• Strong contract negotiation and dispute management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve successful outcomes.
• Sound understanding of contract governance, compliance frameworks and risk management.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience identifying efficiencies, delivering value for money and managing financial oversight.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage up to four complex supplier contracts, each valued at over £20m, ensuring effective governance and contractual compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead contract negotiations, dispute resolution, change requests and contract extensions, driving the best commercial outcomes for DCC and its customers.
• Oversee financial forecasting and governance across supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and financial controls.
• Drive value for money, identify opportunities for efficiencies and maintain accurate contract records to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
• Manage contract risks, obligations and supplier performance, ensuring issues are identified, reported and mitigated effectively.
