Job summary

Barings LLC is seeking a Director-level expert to lead product development for Private Assets in London. You will oversee from concept through launch, ensuring regulatory alignment and market competitiveness across private credit and real estate products.

You will work with investment teams, distribution, legal, and risk functions to drive governance, product messaging, and ongoing enhancements that meet client needs and Barings' strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within a private markets product role.
• Strong understanding of private market funds and investment products.
• Experience with fund launches and product development in private credit or real estate.
• Knowledge of AIFMD and other regulatory frameworks affecting European investment products.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, implementation, and ongoing management of investment products across their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to bring new products to market.
• Coordinate fund launches and strategic product initiatives, ensuring successful delivery.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on fund mechanics, investor terms, liquidity and ESG-related features.
• Maintain governance processes and present proposals through internal committees.
• Partner with Client Portfolio Managers, Investment Teams, Distribution, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance and Operations.
