Job summary

Barings’ Private Credit team seeks a Client Portfolio Manager, based in London, reporting to the Managing Director. The role focuses on business development, client servicing and product development for European Direct Lending, coordinating with investment teams and sales to grow assets under management.

The candidate will contribute to marketing materials, client reporting, and market updates, with CFA/CAIA preferred and strong PowerPoint/Excel skills to support presentations and analyses.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics or related field required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to convey market dynamics and portfolio strategy.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel for high-quality presentations.
• Experience in investment management or investment specialist roles, Private Credit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Client Portfolio Manager focusing on Barings' Global and European Direct Lending capabilities.
• Support business development and client servicing for European Private Credit capabilities.
• Collaborate on client proposals (RFPs/DDQs) and contribute to product development initiatives.
• Prepare updates on Private Credit market, performance, and risk factors for internal/external stakeholders.
• Oversee creation of marketing materials and client reporting; respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with investment teams to communicate investment strategies and market developments.
