Job summary

Systemiq is seeking a Director with deep expertise in power system transformation, focusing on grids, system planning, market design, and utility transformation. You will help clients address bottlenecks in the energy transition and unlock grid and market integration at scale.

This is a senior leadership role combining strategic problem solving, origination, and delivery of multi-stakeholder programmes, with team leadership and platform-building across the Global Energy platform.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in power systems, including grid planning and market design.
• Around 10–15+ years in strategy consulting or energy advisory.
• Experience advising utilities, regulators, market operators, or energy ministries.
• Ability to translate technical issues into strategic choices for senior decision-makers.
• Proven track record leading complex programmes and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead work on power system transformation, including grid constraints and renewables integration.
• Advise clients on strategic, regulatory, commercial, and institutional choices.
• Translate technical challenges into actionable strategic recommendations for executives.
• Identify barriers and shape interventions to accelerate decarbonisation.
