Job summary

NHS England’s New Hospital Programme seeks a senior leader to head data, digital and technology services for a major multi-hospital delivery initiative. You will steer design-to-implementation of digital solutions across the programme and lead multidisciplinary teams, balancing strategic goals with operational delivery.

You will oversee governance, regulatory compliance and resource planning, collaborating with Information Management and PMO colleagues.

Qualifications

• Educated to Masters level or equivalent, or equivalent senior experience in a specialist area such as computing, scientific, mathematical, engineering or statistical.
• Experience of project and programme management techniques and tools, such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Projects
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. TOGAF) or business or management training (e.g. MBA)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for data, digital and technology services across the programme
• Drive the development and delivery of digital solutions that support programme objectives
• Oversee the full lifecycle of technology solutions, from identifying opportunities and design through to implementation, optimisation and improvement
• Ensure effective resource planning, governance, regulatory compliance and delivery of high-quality technology services
• Work closely with Information Management and PMO teams across the programme
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning
• Keep the programme at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practice
