Job summary

GSK seeks a Senior Director – Branch and Campus Platform to own a long-lived product, shaping strategy and roadmap while leading a cross-functional team across engineering, architecture and product. The role drives self‑service adoption, AI-enabled delivery and reliable, cost-conscious platform operations.

The candidate will engage with domain strategy, governance of suppliers, and performance metrics to ensure platform value and adoption at scale.

Qualifications

Degree in technology, engineering or business or equivalent practical experience.
Experience leading platform, product or engineering teams with delivery accountability.
Ownership of platform/product roadmaps and adoption-focused outcomes.
Experience with lean portfolio operating models and SLOs.

Responsibilities

Set platform vision and multi-year roadmap linked to business strategy and measurable outcomes.
Run lean portfolio management prioritising by value and risk with OKRs and metrics.
Treat platform as a product with internal teams as customers and drive self-service adoption.
Embed AI into platform build/run to accelerate delivery and reduce toil.
Own platform reliability bar with shared SLOs and error budgets.
Lead FinOps and unit-cost transparency in collaboration with finance.
Grow and develop the platform team across engineering, architecture and product.
Govern supplier and managed-service contributions to align with outcomes.
Hold Product Owners to adoption and outcomes; manage prioritisation conflicts.
Report adoption, reliability, roadmap predictability and cost to leadership.
Collaborate with domain portfolio to align demand with strategy.
