Job description

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Digital Product Manager where you’ll own end-to-end product management across our digital channels—setting a clear product vision and outcomes, turning strategy into a practical roadmap, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver experiences customers trust and value. Using data, experimentation, and customer insight, you’ll continuously improve journeys, increase adoption, and strengthen the real-world outcomes customers achieve.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product leadership: Define and communicate a clear, long‑term product vision, outcomes and roadmap aligned to HSBC UK strategy, customer needs, and brand/channel standards.
  • Continuous discovery: Lead discovery to refine priorities and de‑risk delivery, working closely with design, engineering and risk to validate solutions early.
  • Agile delivery: Guide cross‑functional agile teams to deliver iteratively and consistently, focusing on customer value and measurable outcomes.
  • Customer experience improvement: Drive continuous optimisation of digital journeys through insight‑led enhancements and test‑and‑learn approaches.
  • Stakeholder partnership: Collaborate across product, design, engineering, risk and wider business teams to deliver cohesive, high‑quality experiences end‑to‑end.
  • Innovation and tooling: Identify practical new ways to solve customer problems, exploring emerging interaction models and advocating future‑state tooling to keep platforms competitive and effective.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Extensive track record of playing a leading role in the building and managing market‑leading, consumer focused digital products, ideally within a complex, regulated and/or agile environment.
  • Strong customer focus with ability to translate research and behavioural insights into seamless, simple digital journeys.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross‑functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Excellent judgement and prioritisation skills—able to simplify complexity, make sound decisions, and perform under pressure.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator who can align diverse (often global) teams around a shared product vision and measurable outcomes.
  • Confident managing a broad product portfolio, including experience coaching and developing product managers to a high‑performance standard.
  • A grounded, informed perspective on how emerging technologies (including AI) can be applied practically to enhance customer experiences.
