Job summary

• Experience in assurance, governance or compliance to inform decision making.
• Experience in project, programme or portfolio delivery.
• Line management experience and people leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end digital spend approvals process, ensuring compliance with internal and cross-government assurance requirements and driving continuous improvement.
• Lead governance lifecycle for digital forums, including preparation and facilitation, deputising for the Head of Digital Governance when required.
• Set direction for engagement and delivery, ensuring services are fit for purpose and well communicated across the team and external stakeholders.
• Ensure a programme of compliance and assurance reviews at key milestones to meet requirements and manage resources accordingly.
• Devise and run training on Digital Governance tools and methodologies to raise awareness of best practice.
• Maintain DVSA Digital Governance guidance aligned with internal/external requirements and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Provide leadership with honesty, integrity and a compelling vision for digital governance and the agency’s reputation.
• Encourage professional behaviours and recognise good work while elevating concerns appropriately.
• Collaborate across functions to create a high-performing and well-respected Agency.
