Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Senior Digital Governance and Assurance Manager to lead governance and assurance across the agency. You will manage digital spend approvals, provide authoritative guidance, and work with senior leaders to ensure risk-informed decision making.

You will champion a positive governance culture, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in controls and reporting across DVSA.

Qualifications

• Experience in assurance, governance or compliance to inform decisions.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Line management experience and people leadership.
• Experience delivering project, programme or portfolio outcomes.
• Knowledge of governance, risk and control practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end digital spend approvals process and advise on compliance.
• Lead governance lifecycle for key digital forums and chair meetings as needed.
• Set direction for stakeholder engagement and service delivery for the portfolio.
• Ensure a programme of compliance and assurance reviews at milestones.
• Develop and run training on Digital Governance tools and methodologies.
• Maintain and update DVSA Digital Governance guidance to meet best practice.
• Demonstrate leadership, influence and integrity in delivery of objectives.
• Encourage professional behaviours and support development within the team.
• Collaborate across functions to foster a high performing agency.
