Job summary

Laing O'Rourke's Birmingham project offices are seeking a Digital Engineer to drive the Digital Engineering strategy across bids and projects. You will create data-driven solutions enhancing decision making, streamlining processes and unlocking project data value.

Reporting to the Lead Digital Engineer, you will implement BIM standards, develop Power BI insights and support upskilling site teams to adopt digital tools. Multidisciplinary collaboration and a proactive mindset are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
Industry-recognised BIM or Digital Engineering qualification, accreditation or equivalent structured training.
Experience coordinating Digital Engineering activities across multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong working knowledge of industry-standard BIM and Digital Engineering software.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Deliver Digital Engineering solutions across all project phases.
Assist project teams in applying Digital Engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
Produce and develop project-specific Digital Engineering deliverables.
Author, develop and coordinate high-quality 3D models with accurate data.
Provide technical guidance to Digital Engineers and project teams.
Collaborate to deliver consistent Digital Engineering standards across projects.
Monitor compliance with project protocols and Digital Engineering standards.
Support project reporting and demonstrate Digital Engineering compliance.
Contribute to sharing best practices and lessons learned.
Build relationships with leadership, design teams and supply chain.
