Job summary

IC Resources is seeking a Principal Design Team Leader to join a growing semiconductor hardware group in the UK. You will lead a team of digital design engineers, remaining hands-on with RTL development while guiding delivery of complex ASIC/FPGA projects.

The role combines technical ownership with people management, shaping architectural direction, design methodologies and processes, and collaborating with architecture, verification and software to meet performance, power and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• RTL design experience in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Experience leading engineers and managing projects.
• Delivery of complex ASIC/FPGA projects with a hands-on approach.
• Strong communication with engineers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of digital design engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across ASIC and FPGA development projects.
• Remain hands on with RTL design and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Own project delivery meeting performance, quality and schedule targets.
• Drive timing, power, area and throughput optimisations.
• Collaborate with architecture, verification, software and other disciplines.
• Shape design methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Translate product requirements into clear hardware objectives.
• Support discussions with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency with new tools.
