An established healthcare provider is expanding its radiology department and seeks Senior Diagnostic Radiographers to join a dynamic team. We are currently expanding our radiology department to support the inclusion of our services to the upcoming opening of the new Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre. Therefore, we are seeking Senior Diagnostic Radiographers with proven post-registration experience to join us.
We are a busy radiography department carrying out a wide range of examinations including ED, CT, Outpatients, In-Patients, Dental, Interventional/Fluoroscopy (including barium examinations), cardiac, and ITU/ward portables. Your base will be Colchester Hospital, including travel to our Clacton Community Diagnostic Centre and Harwich Hospitals.
You will join a department that supports its staff to pursue academic courses and develop their careers within a supportive and friendly environment. We are a teaching department, and part of this role will be supervising our students and apprentices. In addition, you will be an effective leader of the team and wider multi-professional healthcare team.
You will be an autonomous practitioner who provides effective, high-quality individualized care to patients and relatives/carers and contributes to the continuing development of radiology practice. It is desirable to have specialist knowledge of CT procedures and practices.
It is a requirement to undertake a 7-day rostered week, including lates, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
