Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate the software delivery infrastructure for defence autonomous systems. You will work at the intersection of software, platform, cyber security, and defence systems engineering to create secure development environments and delivery pipelines for rapid, reliable, and compliant software releases.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps/Platform engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience delivering software in UK defence or highly regulated security environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure development and deployment infrastructure for Shield AI autonomy and defence programmes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, repeatable, and secure delivery of software.
• Embed security throughout the software development lifecycle with controls, testing, and assurance integrated into engineering workflows.
• Apply MOD Secure by Design principles across the development lifecycle and ensure cyber security responsibilities are met.
• Collaborate with software, autonomy, systems, and cyber security teams to support development environments that meet security requirements.
• Create development and deployment environments spanning cloud, on‑prem, labs, simulation, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop platforms.
