Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to design, build, and operate secure infrastructure for autonomy and defence software delivery. You will embed security across the SDLC, implement automated controls, and ensure compliance with MOD and NATO standards. The role is based in London with a hybrid work model.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps roles and a strong background in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and secure software delivery in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, software engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering software within UK defence or other highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of MOD/NATO DevSecOps and Secure by Design principles including cyber security integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure development and deployment infrastructure for defence programmes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, secure delivery of autonomy and mission software.
• Embed security throughout the software development lifecycle with testing, controls, and assurance.
• Apply MOD Secure by Design principles across the lifecycle and ensure compliance.
