Job summary

Context Recruitment Limited in London is seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to build, manage and scale Kubernetes across cloud and on-premise environments, with emphasis on reliability and performance.

You will work with a small expert team, focusing on automation, monitoring, and platform security, supporting engineering teams globally. This hybrid role pays up to £95k plus a 20% bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production.
• Ability to design and support highly available, resilient infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
• Automation and scripting experience (IaC).
• Ability to work across locations and time zones with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage and scale Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premise environments, including GKE and self-managed clusters.
• Support and administer databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Manage monitoring, alerting and logging platforms.
• Automate infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
• Maintain high availability and resilience across critical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to internal engineering teams in multiple regions.
