Job summary

Roke, based in Gloucester, is seeking a DevOps & Infrastructure Lead to design and operate high‑throughput data platforms for National Security customers, spanning on‑premise and cloud environments.

You will mentor engineers, shape platform roadmaps, develop CI/CD pipelines with ArgoCD, implement observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and automate with Helm, Terraform and Go while ensuring security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading DevOps and infrastructure engineering across CI/CD, observability and IaC.
• Mentor engineers and lead agile ceremonies and delivery reviews.
• Experience with on‑premise data platforms and cloud‑based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering and customer leaders to shape platform, infrastructure and delivery roadmaps.
• Lead the design, development and operation of high-throughput, high-capacity on-premise data platforms and cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows and automated deployment using ArgoCD.
• Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, logging and alerting for resilient operations.
• Use IaC and platform automation with Helm, Go and Terraform to deliver repeatable environments.
• Mentor engineers, review approaches and promote modern DevOps practices.
• Lead and contribute to agile ceremonies, aligning delivery with user needs, security and constraints.
