Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable automation frameworks for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. You will use Python, Jinja2, and Terraform to generate IaC at scale, while Puppet manages Linux and Windows environments and PowerShell enables Windows automation.

The role focuses on high-quality, testable code, reusable automation components, and CI/CD integration to drive efficiency across hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience with structured, testable code.
• Strong understanding of Python packaging, virtual environments and code quality tooling.
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Jinja2 templating for configuration/infrastructure code generation.
• Experience with pytest for unit and integration testing of automation code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Build code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2 to create environment-specific infrastructure code from templates.
• Develop and maintain Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera configurations for Linux and Windows environments at scale.
• Create PowerShell automation for Windows server administration, AD tasks, and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Develop internal automation tools, CLIs, and APIs to enable self-service operational tasks.
