Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes. You will work with Python, Jinja2, Terraform, Puppet, and PowerShell in a high‑performance, hybrid cloud environment.

The role emphasizes clean, testable code, reusable automation components, and CI/CD integration to improve reliability and efficiency across Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development experience in structured, testable application code.
• Strong packaging, virtual environments, dependency management, and code quality tooling.
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks using Python.
• Hands-on experience with Jinja2 templating for config and IaC generation.
• Experience with pytest for unit and integration testing of automation code.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable automation frameworks for cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Develop Terraform code-generation platforms using Python and Jinja2.
• Maintain Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera configurations.
• Create PowerShell automation for Windows server management and hybrid cloud tasks.
• Build internal tools and APIs to enable self‑service for operations.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and ensure testing coverage.
• Document standards and runbooks for automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams to reduce toil.
