Hamilton Barnes is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to own the systems that spin up, scale and run dedicated multiplayer servers from architecture through to production. You will design server allocation across regions, tune Kubernetes clusters, and automate bare-metal capacity with Terraform and Ansible.

You will build robust CI/CD pipelines, dashboards and alerts to catch issues before players notice them, and you will lead incidents with a focus on root-cause analysis and lasting improvements.

Formación

• Extensive experience in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure or platform engineering.
• Experience running multiplayer or other real-time online services in production.
• Deep knowledge of Linux, networking (TCP/UDP, load balancing, DNS) and Docker.
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) and CI/CD pipelines.
• A strong grasp of distributed systems and highly available design.
• Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• Strong scripting or programming skills (Go, Python, Bash).
• Bonus points for Kubernetes or Agones, multiplayer orchestration or allocation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design server allocation and placement across regions to minimize latency for players.
• Tune Kubernetes clusters and autoscaling ahead of launches.
• Write Terraform and Ansible to expand bare-metal capacity.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe releases and rollbacks.
• Build dashboards and alerts to catch issues before players notice them.
• Lead incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement lasting fixes.
• Review designs and infrastructure code, and mentor other engineers.
